Dear American Family, 

My name is Mutaz from Jordan. I am 15 years old and a student in one of Jordan's high schools. My favorite pets are the cats and the small birds. My hobbies are swimming, playing chess, stargazing and exploring the world's beauty and it's nature. I like to preserve Jordanian tradition, heritage and culture. In fact, I must preserve it.

My hometown is a beautiful area. It was previously known for its fertile soil, and agriculture became famous there. The adults, especially the elderly, in my hometown still preserve the original heritage and traditions, but with the progress of time, people have begun to forget these traditions and heritage, and therefore I must preserve these traditions, heritage and culture and prevent them from disappearing.

In my hometown, I have many friends. I like hanging out with my friends a lot. When we hang out together, we like to go watch a movie and go to a restaurant or a cafe. I like my friends because they are very good people in every way.

I live happily with my family in my hometown. The most thing we like to do together is to go on a trip to a calm and beautiful place.

In our house, I have many household responsibilities, such as : Tidying my room, throwing out the trash, helping my mom and my dad with various things, and sometimes I make a dessert. Also, I must take care of my little sister and go shopping.

The reason of my participation in this program is that I would like to know more about your country and culture including the traditions, the history and the heritage. I would also like to introduce you to my culture as well. And this program gives me an opportunity to make new friends with new people.

In addition to enhancing my self-confidence and enhancing the ability to be fully responsible for all my actions.
