Dear host family, my name is Isabela and I’m going to tell you a little bit about myself.

I'm a girl who likes to read, sleep, listen to music, watch series/movies, cook, shop, go to the movies, go to shows, discover new places, go to restaurants, go to parks, go out with my family...

I live with my parents and my brother, and our relationship is very close. We like to go out together, go for walks, travel, see new places, play board games, go to amusement parks and water parks, watch movies and series together, watch soap operas on weekdays at night...

Unfortunately, my grandparents on my father's side passed away before I was born, so I didn't have the opportunity to meet them. My grandfather on my mother's side passed away in 2020, but we had a good relationship. I remember when I was a child, I would go to his house and always ask for my favorite fruits (mango and watermelon) because he lived across from a fruit stand. But that being said, I only have one living grandmother, and we have a great relationship. She always goes out with me and my cousins to go to the movies, or she gets us (my brother and cousins) together to play on Sundays and spend the night there together. Not to mention that she cooks those dishes that only she knows how to make, like her wonderful orange cake, eggplant lasagna, chayote dumplings and rain dumplings.

My brother is older than me, which is a great advantage, because if I need help with something, especially with math questions, he helps me, but our relationship, above all, is one of great friendship, empathy, companionship and, definitely, he is my best friend since I was born. Another interesting thing about him is that he has also been on an exchange program and had incredible experiences, which made me want to go on an exchange program even more.

My goals in life are: to graduate in Law or Medicine, to be successful, to meet someone I love and be able to marry him, to build my dream house, to have a stable financial life, to have children, to travel around the world, and most importantly, to be able to take something positive from everything I go through, to live each second intensely, to never lose my essence, and to always be grateful for the opportunities that are given to me.

My goals for the exchange are to meet as many people as possible, learn about different cultures, be able to make the most of every second, accept the opportunities that are given to me, be open-minded to challenges, be able to create bonds, and make the exchange open doors for my future. I believe that this will be a great milestone in my life, and I will be very happy to be able to show a little of who I am and also meet those who will live and be close to me.

I am in love with my family, my dog, my friendships, the good and happy moments, I believe that I am in love with life and with being able to have the opportunity to live the best version of myself.

Thank you very much for reading my letter, I hope to meet you soon!
