To begin with, from a young age, I like to watch people going abroad or to places they have never been to, try to learn new things, and now I have such opportunity. My name is Teo. I am living in northeastern part of Thailand. My father is from Switzerland and my mother is Thai. I love them both, and I have a little brother too; he is very talkative. I like to play board games and watch cartoon with him and go to shopping mall and dinner with parents. I love every animal, whether it could be a cat, dog, hamster. At home, I take care of cleaning dishes, doing laundry, and watering plants. We also agree to go to bed before 10 p.m. and do not use mobile while eating.

For my characters, I would describe myself as a blend of open-mind, curiosity, and kindness. Most of the time, my curiosity always gets the better of me. I think about random things, how they happen, or how they get there. I also enjoy learning new ideas. I like to understand other opinions and help people who need assistance. At the moment, I am learning how to play tennis and basketball. I’m still not good playing them. I like to play tennis with my friends in my free time and I want to use my height as an advantage for basketball too. I also enjoy swimming that usually swims with my friends. When I was a kid, I also enjoy playing Lego and collecting many shapes of rocks. I still play Lego with my brother and paint pictures by using a computer. Also, I would love to learn an instrument as I like to surprise my mom. I like to play guitar and play my favorite song for her. Moreover, I enjoy eating and trying new food. My favorite dish is a juicy steak and mashed potatoes. When there are some ingredients left in the refrigerator at home, I cook like fried rice and fried basil leaf.

At my school, I have lots of close friends. I talk with all of my friends in class and other classmates in my grade too. We enjoy sharing our daily things, playing sports and board game. As a big group of friends, we go many places together. I think my best memory was a field trip for three days. The last trip, we went to the beach, eat seafood, swimming at seashore. That’s fun and impressive. My favorite subjects are definitely math and geography. I love math because I like to solve questions. For geography, I can learn and understand the history of various types of places. Also, I used to join Insect Enthusiasts Club. I learned how to dissect a wide range of bugs. At my old school, I was in a cooking club. The thing I remember for was how to decorate chocolate cake, barbeque chicken and fried sausage. It was very delicious. When there was a school sport day, I participated the event as a runner of sprinting contest for my team. Every day after school, I exercised with my friend and a senior monitored us. When the race come, I was the second hand when I give the baton, we’re second and it was very exciting experience. This’s good memory and I could learn more about unity of the team too.

To be an exchange student, I would like to understand the differences between Thailand and USA and gain more life skills. I also like to make new friends and learn how to adapt in different cultural backgrounds. I love to share Thai lifestyle and exchange the living style with people there. If the host family likes, I can teach and share some basic Thai language with you. I can cook Thai-style fried rice for you to taste and also learn how to prepare American food too. I would like to participate Christmas and Halloween events. I like to see Christmas trees and dress in Halloween day as we do not celebrate much in Thailand. I am interested in joining many sports such as skiing, baseball, and American football too if I have a good chance. I would like to keep wonderful memory from my exchange year.

I am so excited to meet and be a part of your family.

See you all soon.

Teo
