Dear host family,

First of all, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Peggie. In my family, we have 8 members including my father, mother, two older brothers, grandma and me with cats. My dad and mom run their own business. As a family, we go out especially during our weekends. We usually spend our time by watching movies, cooking food, exercising, traveling together. I also do some house chores as well such as washing dishes, sweeping the floor, and drying clothes.

For myself, I am creative, friendly, and energetic. I always help my friends with group projects by sharing my ideas and assist them with their work. I also like to make them laugh when they are having an unpleasant day.  I have many friends around the school and outside the school too. I am always interested in dancing and singing. I play the guitar, badminton and cosplaying as well. I enjoy badminton because it is healthy to play every day, and help me have more new friends. I love music, so I have started practicing guitar for 3 years now and it helps me calm myself whenever I feel uncomfortable. I like the sound of the guitar. I enjoy singing and dancing too. My favorite singer is Ariana Grande. Her voice is so angelic. Another interest is doing cosplay. I dress cosplay since 2022. I usually cosplay as characters in Genshin Impact. My first dress is Yao Yao. She is a kind and cute Chinese girl. I will cosplay just when there is a cosplay event in the mall with my friends. I can cook some menus too, and my signature dish is green curry. I can also do pancakes, stir-fried morning glory, and spaghetti with tomato sauce. My mom always helps and taught me. One time I competed in a cooking competition with Green Curry menu. I got 3rd place in that competition.

At school, I have many groups of friends with five close friends. We usually hang out together for example by playing badminton, shopping at the mall, playing boardgames. When we finish our day, we go play badminton together almost evening and then we go to the café to have some snacks. Finally, we go home. My favorite subject at school is English. I learned English since I was 3 and I enjoy talking with my teachers. My second favorite subject is Art because I love painting and creating my own style. I am also in Drama Club. I like to understand how the actors can get into the characters and watch movies. My favorite movie of all time is Pixels because it is a very fun movie, and I really like the Pac-Man scene. I have been in many school activities. I attended in Mother’s Day, School Sports Day, Father’s Day, and Chinese New Year. On Mother’s Day, I helped my classmates with Teacher Respect Trays. On School Sports Day, I joined the competition of skipping rope, and I got the gold medal. I was participating the performance in the prom, and I also got the first place as well. My friends and I performed a musical show that they played instruments and I sang. All of the activities in the school I joined, I learned how to make new friends, communication skill and how to create teamwork.

To be an exchange student, I would like to understand and learn more about culture, society, and places. I would love to make new friends and improve my English because I like to talk with everyone. I also would like to share Thai tradition such as food, language and clothing with host family and friends. If you are interested in, I love to share how to pay respect in Thai style, say hello in my language with big smile. Food is a huge part of Thai culture, so I am eager to introduce new friends with a variety of food.  Especially, I would like to experience a real environment of Christmas, Halloween, and Thank Giving festivals because they do not much celebrate in Thailand.
