Dear host family,

First of all, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Nunthawat and you can call me Lookmoo. I am 16 years old from Thailand. In my family, we have five members including my dad, mom, two younger sisters, and me. After school, I help my mom in the kitchen. Sometimes, my sisters join and we enjoy talking about our day while cooking. In the evening, we watch television and play games together. We like to play board games with our cousins too. My sisters are big fan of Japanese cartoon and I like anime as well. At home, I am responsible for some house chores such as cleaning the floor and washing dishes. Every Sunday, we have a family meeting to share our story as well.

For my personality, I am open to learn new things, like chess, that my friends introduce to me. I like to plan and think for good strategy. I care of other people too. If my friends are sad, I listen their stories or just chat with them because I believe small action can show careful feeling. I am a bit shy when I meet new people but I like to make conversations with people especially new students at school. In free time, I enjoy playing badminton, chess, and reading books. I also listen to podcasts and my favorite is New Year, New You. It has many useful tips. I enjoy badminton because it keeps me fit. Soccer help me active and it is a fun activity with my friends after school. I try to play the guitar too and my uncle inspires me to learn. I am very relaxing to play it after a busy day. I also like cooking especially Thai dishes. My mom taught me how to make a delicious Thai style omelet. I love cooking with family, and I like to share my best menu.

At school, I have two close friends. We support each other, have lunch, hang out after class, and prepare for exams together. My friend, T-Off, recommend and share good books with me. Best and I often play soccer. Our friendship makes my study at school more interesting. My favorite subject is English. I like writing and reading because good language skills can give me better opportunity for my future. I like mystery novels. Chemistry is also an interesting subject for me because it opens another world and I can do experiments in the lab. I am a member of mathematic club too. I used to win a math competition for solving equation quickly and I am proud of it. I practiced so much with my team and learned the importance of teamwork and patience.

To be an exchange student, I would like to have more experiences and learn life skills in the USA. I would like to make new American friends and share Thai culture with the host family and people there. I like to cook food, teach basic Thai language and show how to greet in Thai. If the host family like to try, I can make Thai omelet for you to taste. I like to spend my time to go local areas and do activities with the host family such as watching movies, playing game, preparing meals. I want to join many festivals such as Thanks Giving and Halloween because in Thailand we do not celebrate them much. So, it is a wonderful chance for me to see and experience many new activities.
