Hello Host Family,
My name is Yuri, and I am very excited to live with you! Thank you so much for giving me this oportunity!! I promise to do my best to making things run just fine and a great experience for all of us.
I always loved the American culture, and I can't wait to finally experience the dailly life. I want to learn about the culture, try new foods, meet new people and create new memories. I also would like to improve my english, as knowing a second language will be great for my future. Besides, I am sure this experience will make me grow a lot as a person.
I am a 16 years old easygoing boy. I am a great listenner and I enjoy spending time with family and friends. Sometimes, I can be a little shy, especialy when I’m in a new place, but as soon as I am more confortable, I start opening up, you might even catch me singing in the shower from time to time (I promisse I’m not too loud) lol. I think being in a new place will give me the chance to became more social and talkative.
I live with both of my parents. We have a great relationchip. We’re a very united family, and we value open comunication and resolving things through conversation. We respect each other’s space, but we also enjoy spending time together. We often watch series together, travel together, or just talk about how our day went. I really hope we can also do many activities together. I believe that comunication is important to make this experience good for all of us. If there’s anything you need from me, or if there are any house rules or traditions I should know about, please let me know. I’m more than wiling to adapt and learn. At home, I’m used to taking care of my own things, keeping my room clean, and helping with chores.
Soccer is my favorite hobbie. I hope I can continue playing it during my Exchange program, maybe even joining the school team or just play with the friends I’ll have. I also enjoy going to the gym, I have the personal goal to be stronger, and it also helps me stay active and healthy. I love listen to music. I like all kinds. I even try to learn the guitar, but I am not very good at it yet.
During the week, I usually wake up early, get ready for school, and prepare my snack. After school, I came back home to have lunch with my mom, and we often watch TV together. During the afternoon, I study, attend my English class, and go to the gym. In the evening, I help with dinner and clean up before going to bed. I know that things will be diferent in the U.S. and I’m excited about that change. I’m prepared to adapt to my new routine and help out wherever I can.
One thing I am curious about is American high school life. I’ve seen it in movies and TV shows, but I know that’s not exactly how it is in reality. I’m really curious to see what it’s actually like, whether it’s going to fotball games, joining a clubs, or atending school events. I want to try out things I only ever seen on the screen.
I know this exchange will come with its own chalenges, but I’m ready to face them with determination.
I ended up writing a lot, but I hope I didn’t overwhelm you! I just wanted to give you a good sense of who I am.
I’m really looking forward to meet you, and I hope this will be a fantastic experience for all of us.
See you soon! Bye-bye!
