Hi,

My name is Alba I’m 14 years old but when I arrive to U.S.A I will be 15 years old. I write these letter to let my future host family know more things about me. I have to say that is not really easy for me to talk about myself, but I will try to give the most information posible about me.

I live in the north of Spain with my mother who helps me always with everything and takes care of me, with my father that helps me with any problem I have and with my little dog Kira, that I love a lot and we are a really happy family and we have really good relationship.

Talking about myself. I think that I’m a really hard working person because if I want something I do all I can to get it. Apart of that I think that I’m a friendly person, gentle, active and easy going. I think that is not difficult to be with me because I am always trying that the person I am with fells comfortable. I really enjoy helping people or been with them, apart of that I love making new friends and helping in all things I can.

As I say I am a very active person and I love doing things or sports. The things I do really often are basketball, padel or tennis ,horse riding or for example at the school breaks me and my friends usually play volleyball or soccer, then with my father I usually go to play tennis , and as I love skiing, every winter I go with my friends to do skiing. Apart of sports I really enjoy listening to music or cooking.

Talking about studies, in one hand my favorite subjects are maths, chemistry and physics, apart of biology, but I only enjoy some chapter about that subject, but in the other hand I do not like Basque, because grammar is really difficult, but when I am with my friends I love speaking it and is a real beautiful part of my culture . Apart of subjects, my school is a really important place for me, because I met there almost all my friends and I have really beautiful moments there, because I have been there since I was 3 years old and now I am doing 3 of ESO that is grade 9 in USA .

As I say before most of the friends I have I met them at school. One of the most important friend for me is Nerea who I know since I was 7 years old and another important friends are Laia and Sara who I know them since I was 9 years old, Martin I know him at the same time as Sara and Laia, these last 3 years the group has grown and now we are 8 Nerea, Sara, Laia, Martin, Ane, Iraia, Carla and me. Apart of my group I have more friends, such as Sofia that I know her since last year because we were at the same class .

Now, I am going to talk about my dialy routine. Firstly I wake up at 7:20 am and I have breakfast, I get ready to go to school and at 7:55 I go to take the school bus. I get at school at 8:20 am and I start classes at 8:40 am and I finish classes at 4:50 pm and then I go to basketball training which starts at 5 pm an finishes at 6:10 pm. After that I go home and I do my homework and study like 2 or 3 hours then somedays I take my dog to the park and play with her, then I have dinner and I go to bed.

I love snow but I like summer to I like the sea because I love going to the beach and doing water games, but I love doing things at snow such as skiing or playing with snow.

Now I hope my future host family can know more things about me, and I am really grateful of having these experience and I love the idea of learning other cultures and that other people can learn my culture too.

Lots of love,

Alba
