Dear family,

I am Pablo. I'm 15 years old and I live in northern Spain. I live with my parents and my older brother and my younger sister. Oh, and I can't forget our dog Mona, a 2 year old Maltese bichon who is very friendly and playful. I like to spend time with my family.

I'm a normal guy who likes to have fun with his friends, play sports, video games and watch soccer and basketball games on TV, although what I like the most is to see the games of my city's soccer team live at the stadium because the atmosphere is incredible and the people support and cheer a lot. I usually go to the stadium with my family.

My normal life during the school year is mainly going to school until 5pm and then basketball training with the team. At home we have dinner all together around 9pm and after dinner I like to watch TV for a while with my family. On weekends, besides playing the league game with the team, I take the opportunity to meet with my friends and go out for dinner or play soccer. I also usually see my grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. I really like going to the stadium with my cousin because we have a great time. It is fun and exciting to see all the people cheearing up the team.

Since I was a child, I have liked the United States as a country. I have been following the NBA for a long time and the American way of life as seen in movies and series seems very attractive to me, so I really want to have the experience to know it first-hand. Also, last summer I spent a month in Florida with an American family and 10 days in Boston and New York on holidays with my family and I loved both experiences. When I travelled to Florida I lived with a host family and I adapted quickly.

I think I am a responsible person but at the same time sociable and fun, so I think I will adapt well to spend a year abroad. What attracts me the most of the experience is to meet new people, live different experiences and improve my English. Although I will surely miss my family and friends, I think that the positive things that await me in the USA will compensate those moments. I really want to meet new people and live new adventures.

I am very excited to spend a whole year in the USA, to learn more about their culture, their way of life and their wonderful landscapes. I can`t wait to meet you! See you soon!
