Dear future host family,

Hi you! I ́m Fabienne, you can call me Fabi, and I ́m 16 years old. I live in Germany with my family and pets. I love my pets very much and love cuddling and playing with them. I ́m a very open person and like to spend time with my family and friends. I want to have fun and make great memories, which is why I ́m always open for new ideas and something to do. I would say it never really gets boring with me, and I always find something funny to do with my friends and family.

I like making people laugh because it always makes me happy as well. I ́m lucky to have my family. They ́re the best. They always support me no matter what, which I ́m grateful for. I know I can count on my family and friends no matter what. We make the best memories possible together, that will always be stuck in my mind. Everyone around me supports my wish to spend a year abroad, even though that means we won ́t see each other for a long time. I don ́t have any siblings.

It has been my dream to do an exchange year for a long time now. I always loved going on vacation with my parents because of the new culture and people we met there. I ́ve dreamed of doing an exchange year ever since watching the first American teen movie, which I believe was High school Musical. I ́ve always wanted to know if the movies really show a true day in High school. The most important thing to me is to make new friends and have a great connection and time with you.

I would love it if you had pets no matter what kind of because I honestly adore animals in general. I believe pets are great friends and make me feel like I ́m the most important human in their life. I ́m also a big fan of the nature. I love forests, especially during fall. It ́s just the most beautiful thing to see when the leaves turn red. Besides that, I also love swimming and the ocean a lot. I think the beach and ocean are peaceful places to be at when everything else is too much. I love hearing the waves crash onto the shore while sunbathing and reading.

Although I ́m more of a summer person I also love snow. I ́ve never been skiing before but I ́m looking forward to it. I ́ve never had snow on Christmas before, at least not in the years I can still remember. I ́m more of an extroverted person and like to spend time with my friends and family no matter in what kind of way I just love having them around. When it all gets too much and I spent too much time with them I like to spend some time alone just to calm down a bit (this excludes my cats). Then I listen to music, which I do a lot in general as well but when I ́m alone even more. Listening to music is a relaxing thing to do since it ́s so powerful and can change my mood really quickly. When I ́m sad I just turn on my favorite music and it makes me happy in just a few seconds. Maybe it ́s because I ́ve been dancing since I was 8 years old. I started small with once a week but now I go dancing 3 to 4 times a week for one to two hours each training. I also played the guitar when I was younger.

Honestly, I don ́t really have a favorite genre but I ́m excited to see what music you like. I ́m curious how your family life will be and I really want to be a part of it. I ́ll help with the chores and I want to be included in your normal family life. I would love to spend time with you and get to know you. I would really like to help you cook and eat with you.  I am excited about the things you do as a family and want to show you some things I normally do with my family. I would love to just play board games or just talk to you, but I also want to go out to the movies or maybe even on a little trip together. I hope you ́ll show me some things nearby too. Honestly to me it doesn ́t even matter what we do, all I want to do is get to know you, live with you like a family and have a good time together.
