Dear future host family,

Thank you very much for reading my letter and offering students a stay abroad. My name is Romeo, and I am 15 years old. I am from Germany, and I really like to spend my time with family and friends, because we get a long very well with each other, and we always spend a good time when we are together.

After school, I visit a youth center to eat and meet with friends. I stay there until evening, and twice a week I return home earlier for training with a friend. Because of my sport, I pay attention to a healthy diet. We work out, then I go home and have dinner with my parents. We clean up afterward and often watch our series together. Subsequently, I go to bed.

On the weekend, I regularly meet with my grandparents or my little cousins. When I visit my grandmother, I frequently stroll with her and her dog and stay for a night. My little cousins are really cute, and I just love playing and rampaging with them.

When I go out with friends, we often hang out and go through our quarter talking and laughing. In the summer, we often go to a lake or a swimming pool and have a lot of fun. When it gets colder, we go ice skating or we normally relax at each other’s homes and spend the afternoon talking or watching series for example.

I have been dreaming for a few years to live in America to get to know the culture and how high school life is. I want to meet new people and see the impressive nature and the cities. Schools have such a wide range of subjects and clubs to choose from, and it is a great opportunity to gain new perspectives and find new talents and to discover new interests that I did not discover yet in Germany. I love my family, but I am also very curious about how living with another family and in another country would be. All in all, a year abroad is a perfect chance to make my dreams come true, and it will help me develop a lot. I am most looking forward to the new contacts I will make and experiencing a completely new culture.

I am sure I will discover great new hobbies and find a new family that I will take into my heart forever. It will be a fantastic year, and I am convinced that it will be a great experience that will shape me for the rest of my life.

I look forward to meeting every family, to every single member. Whether I have my own room or not, whether you have a pet or not, whether I have siblings or not, it will be a wonderful stay that I will enjoy with full enthusiasm and confidence. I hope to see you soon in real life, I wish you a nice day, and thanks again for giving me this opportunity to live my dream in the USA.
