Hi,

My name is Álvaro and currently I'm studying 10th grade.

My father is a lawyer and a retired policeman. He worked the last twenty years as a policeman in the Courts. He’s from a town and grew up playing in a fronton. He loves to play tennis. He competed until age forty. My mother is a lawyer and a businesswoman. She studied her senior year in your country and was very happy. He enjoyed and made good friends. When she married, her American parents were at her wedding. They had a close relationship until they passed away a few years ago.

I have an older brother. Next year he will go to the University to study Law but then, he wants to work in the automotive industry. He is very very responsible, very studious and very funny. He is a very good person and the best brother I can have.

My paternal grandparents were people who lived in a village. My grandfather was a mine foreman and my grandmother was a homemaker. My maternal grandparents are the grandparents I grew up with. My grandfather is an architect and businessman who built big buildings and my grandmother was a very intelligent woman with several university careers: teacher, French philology and Hispanic philology.  she was a Spanish government official and was number 1, the best grade, in her promotion of the whole country.
I am lucky to have a very close family. I always enjoy Christmas and holidays with my uncles and cousins. They´re fantastic persons. All of them are very important in my life. I feel very happy and very lucky with all of them.

I´m a very good student. My favorite subject is mathematics. I like the financial sector. My dream is to work in an International Corporation and close deals with big companies in any country.

I love sports. I play soccer since I was little and I´m a member of a team that competes with other teams and I am one of the starters of the team. During the summer the team rests but I play soccer on the beach with other friends and sometimes we organize small competitions. Our matches last many hours. It is fun!
I play tennis, we go to the beach and swim in the swimming pool with my friends and cousins during the summer but just for fun.
I like to enjoy weekends with my friends and do different activities with them like going to the cinema or having dinner together.
I also play chess since I was little and I usually play online chess championships with people of different ages.
I love to travel and visit different cities and countries. Since I was a child I travel a lot during the year with my family in Spain and other countries. I love culture in general.

I´ve different skills. On the one hand, I´m good at mathematics, economics, digital marketing, team building, chess and physical education, although I´m good at all subjects and I get good grades.
I love starting new projects, individually and in groups because I think it's good to learn new things and I know how to organize work and groups.

I am very friendly and sociable, I have a lot of friends and I always try to make others happy. I know how to organize myself so I´ve time to study, to practice sports (soccer and tennis), to go out with friends on the weekends.

My main goal is to go to University and study at the Business School the Double Grade of International Economics and Finance, data analysis, business contracts and digital marketing and for this it is important to speak different languages to be able to share studies and work with people from different parts of the world. At school I have studied Basque language for a few years, English and French since I was a child and I am sure that knowing languages will help me in my future work goals.

I want to go to the USA for several reasons. On the one hand, my references are from my mother (in Michigan) and my uncle, who have studied their Senior year in the USA more than 30 years ago and for them it was a great experience. And, on the other hand, I think that studying in the USA will allow me to live many new experiences, meet people with different ways of seeing life and learn from them, see new places, I can improve my English. It will help me grow as a person.

I wish and hope this is a good experience for both.

Regards,

Álvaro
