Dear Host Family,

In this letter I will try to tell you the most about me, my skills, my favorite things and my family. Let’s start with me. I am 14 years old, and I live in Spain. I like many things. Starting with food, my favorite food is the Spanish omelet, I love it. But the food I don’t like is onion and what I hate the most is cheese. I only like it if it is melted (like pizza). On the other hand, the things I like to do are read, listen to music, play volleyball and achieve my objectives, such as my school grades or my efforts in volleyball.

I consider myself a very hard-working person. This is one of my qualities and also trying to help people, being very fun and sensitive. I love the beach, the sun, good weather and the sea because we always spend summer holidays in a small southern village.

Since I was little, I have been a very shy girl, and I would always hide behind my parents when meeting someone new. As I have grown, that shyness has stayed with me, but in different ways, like when I had to make friends at school, I was always quiet, and even today, I am still shy but in a different way, like during class presentations. But who doesn't feel shy about that? Despite this, I am a very happy and fun person. I love making friends and meeting new people. I have a great sense of humor, I am always smiling. I am also an active and responsible girl when it comes to schoolwork and household chores. I take my grades and performance at school very seriously. Last year I had a little problem with some colleagues in my grade. However, it made me improve in my studies because I was more focused. In those days I was very sad but it couldn´t stop me. I have become better, stronger, more mature and intelligent than in the past. That problem was part of my past and without it I wouldn’t be the girl that I am now, everything is good now and the problem was solved.

Then let me continue with my family. I am the youngest of a four siblings’ family. We are nine family members as we have three dogs as part of the family. We are a very close family, and we love to do a lot of things together, like putting up together the Christmas tree, having lunch out and one of the best moments together have been the trips to Dominican Republic at the Caribbean Sea. But we become a close family during the pandemic. Although it was a tough time, we had a lot of fun. We played cards, we cooked together… we spent a lot of time together.  

However, I also like to meet with my friends and go bowling or to the cinema, etc. I also hang out with my relatives. We always spend Christmas together and we are very united in such important and special dates. We always spend new year and Christmas Eve with my uncles, aunts, cousins and grandparents, since we are a big family.

I love getting to know new cultures, their food, traditions, and customs, that's why I'm really excited about this new experience. I hope you find I could be a good match for your family and we can meet soon.
