Hello,

I am a girl who is very excited to spend an academic year in the USA and know more about the culture and lifestyle.

I am very polite and very friendly. I would also say that I am very affectionate and a person who likes to give and have a lot of affection. I like to be surrounded by people who care about me and who I know love me, for example my family. I am a very fun and kind girl who spends a good time with everyone. I care a lot about people and I always like people to be fine with me. I also like to be loved by my friends. We are a very big group. I usually make plans with them that we like, for example, to meet up to watch a movie, practice sports, to cook or just to have a good time. I am sociable and I like to meet new people. As I said before, I have a lot of friends in the place that I live, but I also go in summer to two different small towns. In both, I have my summer group and I love them because I have a great time with them. I am also a very ordered person because I like to see all my bedroom organised and clean.

I have a small extended family. At my house there are four people: my dad, my mum, my brother and me. My dad is an engineer and my mum is a nurse. I also have two grandmas. One of them lives in the same town as me, but the other one lives 15 minutes from here by car. Each of them has two children, my parents and my uncles. From my father I have one aunt and two cousins. And from my mum I have one uncle and he has a little son. I usually meet with my family twice a month minimum.

As I have mentioned before I have one brother. He is younger than me. He is studying in primary school. The relationship we have as siblings is fantastic. We usually enjoy watching TV together or playing any type of game. He is naughty but I have a lot of patience. And that's the reason why we get along so well.

I love spending my time doing activities that I like. I practice different types of sports, I go twice a week to train volleyball with some friends. I also like to go to the mountains sometimes with friends or my family. I have a lot of hobbies; I hardly ever cook for lunch or dinner but I love cooking. I usually bake cakes, cookies, muffins and sponge cakes. I also like to help my grandma to cook food like; purée, chicken in sauce with vegetables and spanish potato omelet, that is the best food. When I am bored and I don't have anything to do I like listening to music or reading books, do ceramic and paint them even though I'm not very good at it. I really like adventures, such as traveling and seeing new places, cultures and lifestyles. I love animals in general. I go horse riding once a week in a local club and I also go to my friend's house to help take care of her horse. As well, when I go to my uncle's house I usually take his dog for a walk with him.

My goals during my stay in the USA are lots. The first and the most important one is that I want to improve my English and also I want to live the experience in an American family. I have never been out of my continent, so I want to know new cultures and live them. I really want to try the American food like the hamburgers from there, pizzas, hot dogs, and more typical things. I have many friends here but I am very excited to make new friends from outside of here. Also, I think if I stay 10 months out of my house I will mature a lot. I want to have a family with who spend time and share things that we like.

I love kids and teaching, so, in the future I want to work as a teacher at primary school. I want to live in the town where I live or near to my relatives. In the future, when I have free time, I would like to travel and see the world, since until now I have traveled little out of my country and I would like to see countries such as; Japan, Thailand, Brazil, Argentina, Kenya. For that I will need to learn more languages and improve my english, so I think this program is perfect to do that.

I have many passions; listening to music entertains me and also watching movies and series... I love being close to my loved ones. Also, my passion is baking, it relaxes me and I really enjoy making desserts. I also really like eating them, because I like sweet food.
