Hey :) my name is Marie-Christine Josephine but my friends call me Josi.

I am 16 years old and I  live in a small town with my family. I love to spend time with my friends no matter what and I'm so excited for this summer because there are so many things I want to do. I have a summer bucket list and I hope to do a lot of things on that list. 

My family consists  of my mom who always tries to fulfil my wishes; my dad with whom I have little contact; my dear brother who always wants to help and protect me and my lovely sister - she is always there for me and helps me with my school stuff. My parents are seperated and I live with my siblings at my moms. On her side of the family I have one grandma, an aunt and an uncle and five cousins. Sadly they don't live nearby which is why it's hard to spend time with them but I'm always happy to see them. On my dads side of the family I have a grandma and a grandpa who is from France and also an aunt and several uncles who still live there which is why I see them the least. We usually visit them on our family vacation.

In my free time I like to paint, make jewelry and to be creative. At school you can mostly find me in the choir or at the theatre club. When I'm not there I'm speaking to the teachers to sort out students interests because I'm the student representative at my school which is stressful but also fun. On Wednesdays I'm a teamer in a christian youth group. As my passion I would describe music and faith. I love to make music, for an example I play the piano, the violin, I sing and currently I am trying to teach myself the guitar. 

About my faith/beliefs I would say it's the most important thing in my life. For me nothing makes sense without it. I like to do a combination of music and faith which is called "worship". 

I think my life goal isn't one big thing. It's more like how I want to live my life: I always want to be myself, stand up for myself and my choices and never give up on my dreams. 

My goal during my stay abroad is not one specific thing but many small things like going to Walmart, attending schoolclubs, trying new foods or learning a new sport... over all experiencing many new things. There are a lot more things which I collect in my jar of dreams. I'm very excited and happy to have an opportunity like this. I hope it will be a great year with many great experiences.
