Exchange Student Finder |
Hello,
my name is Oskar. I am living at home with my older brother as well as my parents. We live together in a city in the middle of Germany. We live in a house with a backyard in a quiet surrounding but not far away from downtown. My school is not far away, so I can walk there everyday by myself. My favourite classes are history as well as English and P.E.. I also attend an English dabating club. I play soccer and practice two times a week and often have games on the weekends. I can reach my soccer club by bike. In my free time I watch sports like german soccer and football with my dad and my brother. We also go alpine skiing together in the winter break in Austria. I like to play video games with my friends on weekends and hang out with them in my free time. Italian food is my favourite, we have it often together. Another thing I am learning right know is cooking. I already can cook some simple meals.
My parents are both lawyers who work as a judge and as an attourney for a company in the same city. My father is also really interested in sports. He used to be a professional cross country skier. My mother is really interested in art and architecture and she forces me to go to museums :). My brother is a good athlete who likes to run, cross country ski, cycle on a road bike and likes to work out in the weight room. He did a year abroad in the States already. We are an athletic family and love to travel together. For example we were in Tuscany, Italy last year which was great!
I have a great relationship to all of my four grandparents and admire them so I like to spend much time with them on my breaks. Other important people I have is my godfather and the godmother of my brother who are both best friends of my parents.
My goal in life is to graduate at top of my class and then go to college in order to study law or medicine. Later in life I want to have a family and kids like my parents.
In my exchange year I want to learn more about the American culture and perfectionize my English skills. I want to become more independent and be able to organize my own life by myself and hopefully make some new friends there. I obviously have respect living apart from my parents and my brother but I am a good team player and I personally think that I can integrate myself in the host family. I want to experience a great exchange year like my brother who had much fun. I also know it is not going to be easy at all times but I will make the best of it :).
I am looking forward to meet y'all and have a great time together.
Greetings,
Oskar
