Dear host family,

I am writing you a little about myself, so that you can get to know me a little better.

I am a very sociable person, I love meeting and being around people. I always feel comfortable in groups, because I believe that each person has something different and interesting. I am also very affectionate, I like to show others how much I love them. I am someone who always helps others, I tend to be attentive, listen and give my support when someone needs it. I consider myself very fair, and I always try to defend what is right. I care a lot about things being done in an equal way. Lastly, I am very family-oriented, I love spending time with my family.

My passions and hobbies are very varied. I love playing paddle tennis, see Spanish soccer and encourage my team, listening to music, dancing, spending time with dogs and being with my friends. Going to the beach is also something I like and it calms me down a lot, as well as reading (because I live in a beach area and I usually go a lot). I also like doing and trying out activities and new plans, always surrounded by people.

My goals in life are to grow as a person and take advantage of the opportunities that come my way. I want to be independent, to make my own decisions without needing or depending on anyone. I would also like to dedicate myself to something that I am truly passionate about and surround myself with people who contribute to me, and to whom I can also contribute. In short, my goal is to enjoy, learn from each experience and always continue to pursue my dreams.

My parents are the most important thing in my life. My mother always gives me all her love and support, I know I can count on her for anything. With her I have learned to be strong and to face difficult times. My father has taught me to work and fight for what I like, I have never lacked his support. Every day he teaches me something new. They are separated, and although I spend more time with my mother, I am also with my father a lot. They both have partners, and that has given me two half-sisters, who despite not having the same blood, I share everything with them, and I treat them as if they were my sisters. In addition, I have a pretty good relationship with my parents' partners.

My grandparents, my aunts and uncles, are another very big part of my life. I have a very close relationship with them, they always support me in everything. I also get along very well with my cousins, I share my whole life with them, and although we are not sisters, we understand each other as if we were.

The exchange year in the United States has many important goals for me. First, I want to learn to speak English fluently, reach a level where I can communicate without problems and feel completely comfortable with the language. In addition, I really want to live this experience to the fullest. I want to make the most of every moment, try sports and plans that are not usually done in Spain. Another of my goals is to meet many new people and learn from them. But the most important thing, of all is to create a connection with my host family. I would like to feel part of their home, and learn from their daily life. Without a doubt, it will be a year of personal growth and new experiences.

I'm looking forward to meeting you and sharing my unforgettable year with you.
