Dear American Family,

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my letter, and it is an honor to introduce myself to the family that will welcome me into their lives. My name is Muhammad, I'm 16 years old. My family and I lived in a small town for 10 years, then we moved to bigger and urbanized city. Our family consists of 5 members: dad, mum, brother, sister-in-law, and me. My mum is 49, works as a teacher, dad is 51. My brother is 24, manages a restaurant. I study at the lyceum.

We live in a flat, my parents value cleanliness, so once a week, I vacuum the carpets, mop the floor, dust the furniture, and change towels. I did all of these tasks myself before my brother's wedding, now we do them together with my sister-in-law. Washing the dishes is also my responsibility. I cook meals for myself when my family goes or travels somewhere.

I'm interested in many things, but there isn't enough time for everything. For example, I enjoy working out, because it keeps me healthy. I also like reading. I used to enjoy self-development books, but recently I've been reading fiction, as it takes me to different worlds. I also enjoy sports, especially football (soccer) and table tennis. We play football at the lyceum, which helps us rest after studying and teaches teamwork. In our country, football is one of the most popular sports, and almost every boy plays it.

Sometimes, I play table tennis with my friends, which I think helps improve our reflexes. And I'm interested in chess also. In the U.S., I want to try tennis. I also attend English classes. On holidays, I organize events for children in my neighborhood. I love children, unfortunately I don't have younger siblings. I volunteer once/twice a month. I have many friends from school, my neighborhood, and my lyceum. I enjoy spending time with them, hanging out. Recently, I organized a football match between my friends from school and lyceum and introduced them to each other. On weekends, we often have dinner together, play football, computer games, or table tennis. Sometimes, we go for a picnic in the mountains.

Our city is a mix of ancient culture and modern infrastructure with high skyscrapers. There are many opportunities for studying, working, resting. About an hour's drive from our city, there are beautiful natural places for nature lovers, such as water bodies, waterfalls, mountains, and large gardens. I am eager to meet you and share more about our city and culture with you.

I am interested in marketing, PR, and business management. At the start of my career, I want to work in the restaurant industry because I believe it's one of the best ways to share our culture through food. I've never met a tourist who disliked our meals.

I also want to assure you that I am adaptable and open-minded. I understand that every family has its own lifestyle, traditions, principles and rules, and I am willing to follow them with respect. It makes me very happy to think about spending time with you and experiencing your daily life.

I believe this exchange will offer many benefits. I'll learn about new cultures and traditions and share mine, which will help me build better connections with people from different backgrounds. This experience will also make me stronger in adaptability, problem-solving, and confidence. Naturally, my English improves as well.

I look forward to the wonderful memories we will create together.

Wish you all the best.
