Dear host family,

Hello there, let me introduce myself first. My name is Rosy, I’m a Vietnamese and still a teenager full of ambition and curiosity about the world. And I am fortunate to have such a good opportunity to become an exchange student and be one part of your family. So this letter might be useful for you to know me better before our greeting

My goal for joining an exchange program is to increase my cultural awareness and intelligence in a country that I have admired for years. Furthermore, not only will the exchange year allow me to uniquely develop, both personally and professionally, but will give me the international perspective I need to be able to better serve my people and country, so this experience will be life-changing for me.

Except for my ambition to become an exchange student. The motivation that made me settle down with my choice is my family, especially my mother. She always encourages me and is by my side all the time. Moreover, she is the person who gives me this chance to explore the world.

I hope after the program I can improve a lot my English and learn more culture and lifestyle U.S. If you were to choose me to stay with you for 10 months, I would do my best to help you with housework, and anything that is of my ability. I would also love to cook Vietnamese food for you to try and show you Vietnamese culture. I am a human and I am not perfect. If I make any mistakes, I hope that you can give me advice and feedback. I would be very appreciative if you do so.

As for myself, I’m not ashamed of getting some guidance and wanting to learn more about your culture. Besides, I want to introduce my country to all of you guys too!

More about myself, in my leisure time, enjoy harmonic music in peaceful places such as my bedroom is one of my favorite activities. I’m also fascinated by drawing after I finish my homework. I used to do some workshops with my homies and my family to create unforgettable memories and I hope we can do the same thing together while we live together.

With all of my honor, I hope the host family house is always delighted and always in the pink. I will contribute all my abilities to accomplish and follow what the host says so they don’t have to be anxious about me.

Rosy,

See you soon
