Dear Host Family

My name is Greta, I'm 16 years old and I am very excited to become a part of your family! Spending a year in the USA is a great opportunity for me to experience your culture, live the high school live and improve my english. I am really looking forward to this adventure and hope that we will have an amazing time together.

Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a friendly, reliable and helpful person. I am also empathetic and flexible, wich helps me adapt to new situations easily. At first, I can be a little shy, especially in new situations but once I feel comfortable with my surroundings, I open up quickly. I am open-minded and love trying new things, so I am excited to experience your daily life, traditions and maybe even share some of my own.

At home, I live with my dad becaus my parents are separated. Howerver, I see my mom regularly and I also spend a lot of time with my grandparents. I have two siblings, an older sister and a younger brother and we get along well. Family is very important to me and I enjoy spending time with my loved ones.

A big part of my life is my dogs. I have two Vizsla dogs and I love them so much. I also used to have rabbits, so I am used to taking care of animals. Pets are very important to me, so if you have any, i would be happy to help take care of them. I also love spending time with children. I like to playing, crafting or just having fun together.

In my free tim, I enjoy being active. My biggest passion is volleyball but I also love trying other sports like climbing and horse riding. in general, I like everything that, I sometimes enjoy painting, baking and cooking and I like helping in volunteer activities.

One of my main goals for my exchange year is to improve my english because it is an inportant world language that will help me in the future. I also want to experience American culture, learn about the differences from my home country and make new friends. I am really curious about high school life in the USA, the subjects, activities and maybe even discovering new hobbies.

After my exchange year, I plan to start training as an occupational therapist. In the future, I would love to have my own family, a house with a garden and of cours pets, because I can't imagine my life without animals.

I am really excited to meet you and can't wait to get to know you! I hope we will have a great time together and create many wonderful memories. Thank you so much for welcoming me into your home and giving me this amazing opportunity!

Best wishes and see you soon!                                                                                                                                                                     Greta
