Dear host family,

I am Eléa, I'm 17 years old. I live with my mother and my father, my brothers have each one their home and family so they didn't live with us anymore. I'm auntie of 6 children, 2 from my older brother, 1 from my second brother and 3 from my yougest brother. I am my parent's last child and first daughter. We eat each evening together mostly it's my mom who cook but sometimes I cook it depends on what we want to eat. While school I eat every monday, tuesday, thursday and friday at my brother's house because he lives next to my high school. Otherwise the rest of the week I eat at home. My mom often brings me back from school and sometimes we hang out if we have time to. Like the saturday we often do shopping or just stroll through the store and mostly go says hi at my dad while he works. But we do it only if we have time to like if I hadn't too much homeworks to do or a volleyball game.

I'm currently studying in high school. I'm studying mainly sciences because I intend to go in Medicine college moreover I'm interested by it. I'm used to work a lot for school but it depends on the subject. Like I'll work a lot a very hard on biology because I need it for my studies and I love that but a little bit less for history because I won't, fundamentaly, need it for later but I study it anyway. I'm really interested in the humans sciences but I can't purely study it because of the studies I need to do for later.

I think reading is the main subject I'm interested in. I love to read about romance, romantasy but the fantasy with a politique plot and a subtle romance in the background are my favorites. Other than that I do sport. I play volleyball since high school and I really like it but I'll can't continues because of my studies and the lack of time I'll have so it make me feel like a little bit sad. When I can I hang out with my cousin, she is my favorite cousin and we are really very close. Otherwise sometimes I do some things with my friends but because of school and homeworks we don't have a lot of time to spend time together. My friends tell me that I am always quite happy and I put people in a good mood. I always try to help my friend the most I can and I care about their well-being. I think I am curious, kind, empathic and organized.

I always wanted to learn english, to go to the united states and live like a high school student up there because the school system is different than our and seems to be more interesting given that the clubs seems to be well integrated in a student life. While here in France this isn’t the case and sometimes even we're running out of time to join and participate in a club. So become an exchange student enables to gather all of that. That's why after learning about this program I thought it would be a good idea and I've wanted to do it ever since.

I guess that I can bring you some french knowledge like recipe. And in my opinion welcome an exchange student bring you something in your life just like in the student’s life. Even if I don’t exactly know what it brings but I am convinced that it brings something positive in a life. I suppose that I can bring the same things to the school and at my welcome community but I hope I'll can be able to bring them a lot of good things and won't disappoint them.

I hope we'll get on well together and that we'll spend a wonderful year together.
