Dear future family and school: I am Roque, your next new student. I was born in the north of Spain but we moved to another city in the center.

I am going to the United States mainly
because I want to live a new experience, and also my mother wants me to improve my english. I am writing to tell you a little
about myself, my family and my customs. First I would like to introduce you a little to my family: My mother has 5 siblings and that is why I have many cousins. My father also has many siblings and they all live here near. I have a brother who has a problem in his left arm and cannot move it very well. Since there
are many of us cousins there is a big age difference between us. The cousins who are close to my age are 1 year younger
and live in England, other cousins who are older also live near and the rest live where my grandparents
live.

I think I am a person who does a lot of sport. I like to do sports like football, basketball, etc. For example, here in
Spain I train every day of the week for a minimum of 2 hours. Although I know it is impossible, my dream is to become a
professional and famous player of some sport like football or basketball. I also think that I am a person who in new
places can be a bit shy but I think that when I am confident with someone I am a totally different person. That is why I
am a bit worried about this experience but I think that I will do well and that I will make new friends quickly. During my experience in the United States my main goals are to improve my English level and meet new people while living with an amazing host family. At the same
time, I also go there to have fun and learn about the famous American culture, like the sporting events with great shows
and the delicious traditional American food. But I also go there to check if the lifestyles in two parts of the world
(Spain and the United States) are very different or if they are similar. I think I'm a person who tries to take everything with humor because I think everything is better if it's funny because
everyone enjoys it more. I also try to be a good person, I try to help everyone in everything I can and make sure everyone
is okay. I think the only bad part of this experience will be that I won't see my family and friends for a long time and I
think I'll miss them a bit. I would also like to thank my future American family for allowing me to live with them and learn from them and my next
school for allowing me to live this experience in their home. I can't wait to go to the United States and meet you. See you soon.
