Hello! I'm Bota, nice to meet you.

My city is one of the largest in my country and is well-known for its football (soccer) team, which is why nearly every resident loves football. (I even did a research project on it!) The climate here is windy; winters are very cold, and summers can get extremely hot.

I live with my grandparents, aunt, uncle, and cousins, who feel like actual siblings to me. We enjoy spending time together and doing different activities, like having picnics, building ice castles in winter, playing video games, and watching thrilling movies. I like to go for morning runs and often take my grandmother with me, as we both care about staying healthy. I really enjoy sports, although sometimes I don't have enough time or energy for them because my academics are my main priority. When I do get free time, I go to the gym, run, and work out - and I truly enjoy it. I play volleyball on the school team and am part of the main squad. I feel like volleyball brings out my personality: jumping high and fighting till the end to keep the ball off the ground says a lot about who I am.

My biggest passion is school debate. I run my own debate club at school and organize tournaments. I'm deeply involved in this art and have been doing it for 2.5 years.

At home, my chores include cleaning the windowsills, wiping down doors, washing the dishes after meals, and sometimes vacuuming. Occasionally, especially before finals, I focus entirely on studying and pause these responsibilities for a while.

Most of my friends go to different schools; with some, I run my club, while others are my classmates. We enjoy spending time together doing all sorts of activities. For instance, one day we might go on a rollercoaster, and another day we'll have a tea party. The great thing is that none of us feel awkward about doing "childish" things or "uncool" activities. We simply enjoy ourselves, and if something sounds fun, we go for it. For example, at my birthday party, we took turns bathing in a small water barrel in my yard and then rode bicycles around the house - it was so much fun!

I consider myself an all-rounded person, which makes it hard for me to choose between technical and humanitarian fields. Right now, I'm deciding between chemical engineering and governance/political science, although I'm leaning more toward political science. I want to make the world a better place through my own actions, and I see politics as one of the ways I can make a difference.

I really want to learn about and experience all the customs and traditions of America and get to know more about the country and its people. I believe I can do this best by living with a family, as all these values are rooted in daily family life. I also want to share a piece of my own country and its unique culture through my own perspective and experiences.

I can't wait to meet your family and be part of your daily life.

See you soon!
