Dear my host family members,

My name is Daulet, I'm 16 years old and I live in Uzbekistan. I live with my family consisting of my father, mother, and two little brothers.

I study at public school. Currently I'm studying in the 10th grade. I have got high grades almost in all subjects except for chemistry where I'm working actively to improve.

The place where I have been living for my whole life is a beautiful and comfortable to live as it is in the center. So, there are many facilities for a convenient life like parks, many private and public schools, kindergartens etc. And every facility is around the place where I live.

My household responsibilities are cleaning the house, washing dishes and taking care of my little brother, usually play some games with him like hide and seek, catching up, push up exercise and others. And I don't know if that considered as a chore, but I also help my brother with his homework.

I usually listen to music or go outside to play with neighborhood boys during my free time. We usually play football (soccer) and basketball. I like it because that is a very beneficial way of spending leisure time like it is healthy but I'm not doing it only because it is healthy but because these games are also interesting and exciting. Regarding music, this activity helps me to relax and work also. I like listening to pop and jazz genres of music.

From this exchange experience I would love to see and understand how life goes on with another culture. I'm eager to learn about traditions, values and everyday practices of US culture. At the same time, I'm excited about the opportunity to share my culture with you.

I can assure, I can be very disciplined host son, who will be respecting American culture and family rules, and I look forward to having the opportunity to meet you and other host family members if I pass FLEX program successfully.
