To my dear host family,

I am really thankful that you have chosen me. To begin with my letter I will introduce me, my name is Dino, I am 16 years old and live in Germany. Since I was a child I always wanted to do an exchange year. All those american movies influenced me and made me wanting what they have. I can’t remember a moment where I wouldn’t think about how my life would be if I lived in the US. In the middle of the year 2024 my mom told me that her and my dad were able to let me go and let me take the opportunity for a whole year in the US. I totally appreciate that you guys saw me and thought that I would be a suitable member of your family. Above all the new things that are coming for me, I can’t wait to find new friends, learn a new family and just develop myself. One thing about me that you should know is that I am not a very good cook, I just know that we will have fun together and learn together how to cook. I will try to describe myself so you guys can be better prepared for what is coming to you, I am a opened person who needs people around me because I grew up in a very big family I have a total of 5 siblings. It follows that I am a calm person who never acts aggressively, I will always be there for my host siblings or for my friends. I have a soft spot for animals, especially for fluffy animals. In Germany I have some friends that I can’t live without, but I couldn’t imagine my life without my precious and beloved family. My everyday life looks like this, I wake up and brush my teeth. Then I put on my cloths and hurry to not come late to school. Then I go to the school bakery and take my well liked brezel and go into the class. After school I go home and watch some movies or series, sometimes with my brother or any of my friends. I need to add that I go boxing 3 times in a week for almost 2h per day. I really like to eat, to sleep or just go out and breath fresh air. I grew up in places that have mountains, forests, that have beaches or a big city, that’s what made me prepared for any place to live in. In my family is sport a regular thing so learned many types of sports, such as boxing, bicycling, hiking, jogging or swimming. Overall am I a person who is open, friendly, active and guaranteed the best exchange son you ever got. I still can’t believe that this year we will the year we meet, hug and love each other. I hope you guys are and will doing well and see you in couple months.
