Hello to my future host family.

Thank you very much for allowing me to spend my year abroad with you. I am incredibly excited about the opportunity and truly grateful that I can be a part of your family life. I am already looking forward to spending time together and sharing moments we will experience.

My name is Gina and when I come to you, I will be 16 years old. If I had to describe myself in three words, they would be: funny, fun-loving and ambitious. I like to laugh a lot, especially when I am spending time with my family or friends. I always try my best and stay positive. In new situations, I am sometimes a little reserved at first, but I quickly gain confidence and then become open and outgoing.

My family is the most important part of my life. I live with my mom, my two sisters and our dog Coby. My family means a lot to me and I am incredibly grateful for the memories we have made together. I have a particularly close bond with my big sister. We share everything and are always there for each other. The rest of my family lives farther away and unfortunately, we can only see each other a few times a year due to the distance. Despite the distance, I love them all very much and appreciate the time we spend together all the more.

In my free time, I am passionate about playing the piano and have loved classical music since I was six years old. I also love traveling with my family, especially to places with snow because I love skiing. But I also enjoy summer vacations where I can relax on the beach and read a good book. I also spend a lot of time with my friends. We like to go to concerts, soccer matches or parties. We often get together to watch a movie or just chat. No matter what we do, we always have a wonderful time together. Johanna, Jolina and Clara are always there for me and always put a smile on my face. I am incredibly grateful for our friendship and could not wish for anything better.

My future is also especially important to me. I dream of studying medicine and working as a doctor one day. But school and studying are not the only things that matter. That is why I decided to spend a year abroad: to experience new things, step out of my daily routine and have more fun. I am looking forward to all the new experiences, especially getting to know the culture and the place, making friends and perhaps discovering new hobbies. I am sure these experiences will help me grow personally and have a positive impact on my life. This thought excites me and increases my anticipation for this special year.

I hope this letter has helped you get to know me well. I am incredibly happy to have the chance to be a part of your family and to share you share this experience with you. Thank you so much for giving me this special year. It brings me immense joy.

I can not wait to meet you!

Best regards

Gina
