Dear host family,

my name is Lennox, my nickname is Lenni and I'm 16 years old. I live in a small town. I live in a house with my parents, my older brother and my little sister. We also have two cats and I take care of my own aquarium with 20 fish and some snails. My grandparents do not live close by but we visit each other several times in a year, for instance during christmas time.

I'd describe myself as an animal friendly person, who likes all kinds of animals. I'm an open, extroverted and friendly person, who easily adjusts himself to new surroundings, situations and people. People also describe me as a social, creative and energetic person, who can empathize with the feeling of other people.

I am in the 10th grade and go to a a high school in our town. The classes I enjoy most are Sports, English and Arts. In my free time, I like to hang out with my friends and do different sports. I work out in a gym, do some Jiu-Jitsu and play American Football.

I would really love to see parts of the world, which I do not know yet, learn about other cultures, meet new people and make new friends. I consider the exchange program with the US a big chance to experience life in a different educational system, interact with people from various backgrounds and of course further improve my English. I am really looking forward to a student's life in the US, to visit a high school, meet new people, learn new perspectives and build lifelong relations. It will be a big adventure for me since I was never away from home for such a long time. 

Since I started it 5 years ago, my great passion is American Football. My team trains two times a week and we participate in a northern Germany youth league. I hope to get some first hand football impressions during my stay in the US and would love to be part of a team there, too.
