Dear Host Family,

My name is Felix, I am 16 years old, and I come from Germany. I am really excited about the opportunity to become a part of your family and to live in the USA for a while. I am looking forward to experiencing a new environment, meeting new people, and getting to know daily life in an American family.

At home, I live with my parents and my older sister. My father works as a physical therapist, and my mother is a teacher. I am an open-minded, humorous, and ambitious person who loves meeting new people and is excited about almost anything.

My biggest passion is American football. I have been playing for several years, and I love the sport because it challenges me both physically and mentally. My dream is to become a professional football player one day while also studying medicine. I am very motivated and excited to give my best. Of course, I also hope that my host family is enthusiastic about sports and maybe even enjoys watching or playing football!

I used to play the piano and viola. Music has always been a great way for me to relax. I am curious to see what kind of music is popular in the USA and if I might discover new music genres there.

In Germany, I am in the 10th grade, and in the USA, I would be in the 11th grade. My favorite subjects are English and PE. English is especially important to me because I want to become fluent. I believe that the best way to truly learn a language is to use it in everyday life – and that’s exactly what I want to do during my time in the USA.

Another topic that is important to me is healthy nutrition. I try to eat mostly natural foods and avoid refined sugar or highly processed products. However, I am open to trying new dishes and excited to experience American food – as long as it’s not just fast food!

I hope my host family is warm, open, and has a good sense of humor. It is important to me to feel comfortable, have great experiences together, and try new things. I look forward to getting to know your daily life, spending time together, and becoming part of your family.
