Dear American Family,

Hello! I do not know anything about you, but I am so excited about the opportunity to be part of your family. I would like to tell you a little about myself. My name is Balzhan. My relatives and friends describe me as a cheerful, active, purposeful, and smart person.

About my hobbies, I get the kick of doing yoga because it is helping me feel more in tune with my body and emotions. Moreover, it helps relieve tiredness and negativity, giving energy for the rest of the day. My mom and I enjoy doing yoga or pilates together and stretching our bodies in the morning on weekends. I would be happy to try this with you. I love reading books, especially detective ones, and my favourite writer is Agatha Christie. My friends love reading like me, so we enjoy discussing plots after reading and borrow books from each other. In fact, recently inspired by these books, I wrote a story in 1500 words in a detective genre and named it "Can a psychic foresee his own death?''. Also, I am passionate about drawing and creating designs because I feel alive and lose track of time during the process. I create banners and posts for marketing and business projects and help them gain awareness. Sometimes I love to upcycle my old clothes into new fashion items by sewing or decorating them with my grandma while she tells me interesting stories from her childhood.

One of my favourite hobbies is debate because it allows sharing viewpoints with others and broadening my horizons. I started to participate in debate in 7th grade, and in 9th grade I opened my own debate club with my team to teach other students about basic and effective techniques. I also enjoy learning new languages, such as Korean, but I can introduce and say some phrases in French, Japanese, and Thai. I learnt them through watching films. Additionally, in my leisure time, I go to the basketball or archery clubs to strengthen my muscles and provide myself with an adrenaline rush and a competitive challenge.

The place where all these actions happen is my homeland. It may be known for its friendly atmosphere, close-knit community, clean environment, and history, making it a unique place to live. The village where I live has big mountains, forests, and rivers with a lot of types of animals and plants. There are unique petroglyphs, which are ancient rock carvings left by various cultures that lived in this area thousands of years ago. Speaking about my home, there are three people in my family: mom, dad, and elder brother. We love going on trips or shopping, cooking, joking, and taking pictures together. I love animals, so I have a dog named Borzik. He is really sweet, and all my family and friends love him. If you have a pet, I'm sure we will get along well.

In the future, I want to be an analyst because, in that way, I can contribute to better decision-making, more efficient processes, and improve outcomes for people or organizations.

In conclusion, I know that being an exchange student is a big responsibility, and I am ready for it. If you choose me, you choose to know more about Kazakh traditions, values, meals, and practices in Kazakh and Russian, and to have a companion to discuss every topic and person who can be your personal yoga coach. I want to know more about American culture, and I will be an interesting character for you.

Thank you so much for considering me!
