Dear American Family,Â
I am 15 years old, I live in a small town, and decided to participate in the FLEX program, as my two older sisters also participated in this program a few years ago and have motivated me to participate and become an exchange student. I usually play volleyball, table tennis, and football (soccer), I draw well and play basketball quite well, I like playing sports and training. In my free time, I actively train with friends, sometimes read books online, like to hang out with friends in the evenings, and sometimes play video games. In my small town, there are different types of activities that you can participate in, for example, there are different types of dancing, music, drawing, and sports club.
I have studied Georgian national dances, went to drawing classes, and practiced several sports such as karate, tennis, basketball, football (soccer), and wrestling. In our family of 5 people, parents, me and my two sisters, sometimes we play board games and spend time together. I always help around the house, sometimes I clean the snow in winter, take out the trash, look after the garden, and sometimes I wash my sister's and my father's cars. I can also wash the dishes, cook food, clean the house, and so on when I am alone. I often go out for a walk and play ouutside with my friends, they are about my age and I like to be friends with them, we communicate, joke and help each other. They always support me, and I support them too.
On my big excursion to the USA, I would like to study, learn new things, new cultures, share my culture with you and gain new knowledge that is necessary for me and for my future career development, besides learning English and exploring new cultures, I would like to train well as a football player and learn because I haven't decided what I want to become when I grow up and I have three options: a programmer, a broker or a professional football player. I think, if I decide to become a programmer or an IT speacilst, my American experience will have a big impact on it. As the education is very developed and different from my country, I think this will be a great chance for me to improve my knowledge and skills, which I will be able to use in my country when I come back.
I can also tell you about myself that I don't smoke, I don't drink and I don't like this at all, I will always help with whatever I can and support you at the right moment.
That's all, I hope to see you in real life.
Best wishes,
Your future exchange student Garegin
