Dear American Family,

Hello dear host family. My name is Luka,my life has always been an average life, thanks to my family I've never had to struggle much in life. I was always a happy kid that was mainly focused on playing outside. Playing lots of sports and a also studying.

Since hitting my teenage years I have been realizing that I don't want my life to be basic. I want to explore the world and the rich cultures that its full of. My family have always been the biggest supporters of me so we do a lot of activities together like going camping in the nature cooking and baking things for certain family gatherings and also visiting other cities.

I do have a set of chores I do at my house. As basic as taking out the trash to cooking food for the family. As of lately I really have been enjoying cooking and describing more things about my culture through dishes of my country. My other responsibilities are going to the grocery store, cleaning the dishes after I have used them and I have to keep my area and room clean at all times.

My intrests as I have mentioned at the start has always been active outside and enjoying the thrill of sports. But the latest intrest I picked up is cooking not only since I enjoy doing it but also because it can help you understand the culture of other countries.

One of the biggest parts of my life is my friends. My friends and I all share at least some types of intrests in life. Me and my friends do all types of activities together from just hanging around and playing sports together to talking about movies, tv shows, books and basic plans of our future life. All my friends are well educated, well mannered and overall great people to have around. I am really proud of all my friends that surround me because they all thrive to have a bright future and put in all the efforts of making a possibility and a plan.

Well growing up in a small city like mine it is easy to know most of the people but to choose the right friends is difficult everywhere in the world. My city may be small but is rich with its history kindness and full of respect towards each other. My city has also played a big role as to how I turned out to be and I am really proud of that.

I want my host family to know that I'm full of respect and that I put others in front of me and I put myself being respectful and being well mannered in front of everything. I want them to know that having me will not be a struggle for them. I am really easy to get to know and to have a conversation with. Having me will not put any toll on them and their lives because I will try to do my best with everything I will be doing during my exchange year.

The experience I want to gain from the program is to get to know American culture to experience what it is like living in a country that is loved by all and everybody's dream to see. But mainly it is my drive to gain education that American schools can give. To have an opportunity to learn in the greatest education system that exists.

Thank you.

Luka
