Dear American Family,
Hello from the other side of the world. I hope you're having an amazing day, and I hope you have a fun time reading this letter. My name is Andrew, and I'm currently a 10th grade student in the country of Georgia. I come from a big family with even bigger hearts and a place full of breathtaking views. Let's introduce you to my family. There are 5 of us in total, 6 if you count the dog. I have 2 siblings and 2 parents. We often go out together on Sundays because we consider Sundays our "family days," where we spend the day as a family. We often go hiking, trying out new restaurants, and we often have guests over at our house. I'm happy to come from this family because I believe they have helped me shape into the person that I am today.
Let's go over some of my responsibilities, shall we? I personally have quite a bit of chores to do at my house, but I don't like to think about them as chores. Saying chores makes it feel like it's a burden, but I don't feel that way. Some of my responsibilities are: taking care of my dog which means walking and feeding her, other ones would be vacuuming, washing the dishes, and cleaning my room. I think about my responsibilities as helping my family out; at the end of the day, I think that taking just 15 minutes out of your day to help your loved ones isn't much to ask for.
Now let's go over my interests. I'm a big-time aviation and automobile enthusiast. I'm also into photography a lot, which not only suits my interests but is also one of my biggest hobbies to enjoy during my free time. More active interests would be hiking and pretty much any sport; I have tried a lot and I have yet to find one I didn't enjoy. I have been athletic my whole life, and I can confidently say it has had very positive effects on my physical and mental states.
I usually go out with my friends once or twice a month, and we often find something new to do each time. Some of our top picks would be: going to watch a movie, going karting, going on a small hike, or just spending some quality time together catching up on what's going on. Speaking of friends, I hope I can make some while I'm in the USA. I think that American people are very positive and easy to click with due to their personalities.
I come from a city filled with beautiful architecture and people. It is filled with historical sights, and we even have a section of the city that is kept as if it were still in the old times, so people can see what it was like. I honestly am not sure about my future life career, but I'm leaning towards aerospace engineering. I really hope that this exchange will help me figure out my future path. There are a lot of things I would like to and could gain from this program, mostly it will be experiences. This entire program is an experience unlike any other, and I think its amazing for shaping teens for their adult life. To my future host family, I would like you to know that I would be super grateful if you gave me a shot at it. Thank you for choosing me, and I hope we can have some amazing times together.
Sincerely,
Andrew
