Dear host family,

My name is Frederik. I am 15 years old.

I live with my parents and my brother in a house in Germany.

We are located in a rural area, not far away from a city. My brother finished his graduation in June 2025.

My father is an engineer.

My mother is working as a Consultant.

One of my grandmothers lives a 4 hour drive away, in central germany. My other grandmother lives approximently 1 hour away from us.

I often try to visit them, but it's not that easy to find the time for that.

Our fourth family member is "Sina the cat". She is 3 years old.

Many of our friends have dogs, with which I play most often.

In June 2023 my parents and me picked up my brother from his exchange year in Albuquerque. After we picked him up he was flashed about his time there and didn't want to go home.

This is one more reason why I want to do this and I really hope that this will be so fascinating, too.

In October 2024 we made a family holiday in New York.

Traveling is something I liked since I was a little kid. Long beaches, other cultures or just the nature.

I go to a Gymnasium, which is the highest form of school here. It is one of the biggest schools here in my federal state. It has about 1400 students.

I am in a sport school-class, which means we have more sport then other school-classes.

One of my favourite subject is Math, English and Law.

I am learning English 7 years now and I had the chances to get better in speaking the language. As second language I am trying to learn Latin. Even so that Latin isn't a language we can only choose between this and French.

My school day begins at 7.55 am and ends 15.00 pm.

We have another school system than yours, because I have one fixed school-class. That means every student in my class has the same subjects at the same time. But everyday we have different subjects.

After my school-day I drive home. I made a driver license for a microcar, which drives up to 45 km/h.

So I don't need to take the bus, even though I took the bus for over 9 years.

To get some pocket money, I work as a waiter in a small restaurant.

I really like to do sport activities, that's because I go to the gym frequently. I am making the first license (we call it CMAS*) in scuba diving curently and I made a surfcourse in my last holiday.

I am also interested in boxing. I even have a boxing sack in my room on which I train too. My family and I are a very athletic. We hike, ride mountain bikes, play golf, swim and run.

In summer 2022 I paraglided from a mountain in Italy. You can see, that I like action. There are still some points on my bucket list; want to go skydiving, and much more.

But, I also like to chill, watch a film or tv-show, read, be creative and cook. I can play the guitar, because I had lessons for several years. I am interested in car racing or watching Formula 1.

Since a couple of weeks now, I am making a license for diving.

I have a PlayStation 5 on which I mostly play racing games.

I am open for something new and I would really appreciate it, if you could show me everything your country has. I hope I will be able to experience all special days, from Thanksgiving to Independence day

I eat nearly everything and I would, like I mentioned before, try out new. I am allergic to nothing.

I love chocolate in all kinds. 

In summary, I would describe myself as open, relaxed, ambitious and sporty.
