Spain Hello, my name is Igor and I would like to tell you a little about myself. I am 15 years old and I live in the Basque Country, Spain.
I come from a friendly and loving family. My family is quite large. First, I have an older sister and an older brother, and of course my parents. On my dad’s side, I have a grandfather who has three children, two daughters and one son (my dad). One of my aunts has two sons, and my other aunt has one son, so those are my cousins. On my mom’s side, I have a grandmother who has two children, my mom and my uncle. My uncle is married and has three sons, who are also my cousins.
We have a big family, we are very close. We enjoy spending holidays together, especially during Christmas and summer. I love pass free time with my family and listen to the stories of my family when have my age.
My brother, the middle one, is currently living in Alaska, where he is studying 12th grade. I miss him sometimes, but we talk online and share our experiences. My sister is studying psychology at university. I admire her because she is hardworking and kind, and she inspires me to do my best in school and life. My parents are also very supportive. My dad is organized and funny, and my mom is caring and patinet.
In my free time, I enjoy watching TV, playing video games, hanging out with my friends, and doing sports. I consider myself a versatile person. My favorite sport is soccer, and I play on a soccer team. Soccer has taught me discipline, teamwork, and how to stay focused. I also like to try other activities, like basketball or swimming, because I enjoy learning new skills and challenging myself. Sports are important to me because they help me stay active and healthy, and they also give me a chance to meet new people.
My goal in life is to have fun and enjoy. But my future plans are first to finish secondary school and go to university and when I'm older make a family, get married and have children. I want to have a career that I love and that helps people in some way. I hope to always learn new things and become a better person every day. I think that working hard and being kind are very important to reach my goals.
During my stay in the U.S., my goals are to improve the language, learn about the culture, make friends, try new things, and discover new sports. I want to experience life in a new country and understand different perspectives. I am excited about trying American food, visiting new places, and participating in school activities. I also want to improve my English skills so that I can communicate confidently with people from different backgrounds.
I think that I am a positive and funny person, and I like to bring good energy to the people around me and make them feel comfortable. I enjoy making others laugh and helping when someone is sad or needs support. I think being kind and friendly is very important in life, and I always try to include everyone and make new friends.
I also enjoy learning about other cultures. I like listening to music from different countries, trying different types of food, and learning traditions from other places. This curiosity makes me excited to live abroad and learn as much as possible from my host family and new friends. I believe that understanding different cultures is very important to becoming a responsible and open-minded person.
I hope that during my stay in the U.S., I can share my passions and hobbies with my host family and friends. I want to show them Spanish culture, teach a little of my language, and learn about their traditions as well. I am excited to create memories that will last a lifetime and to be part of a family that I can connect with deeply.
I also hope to grow as a person while I am abroad. Living in a new country is a challenge, I konow that I will need patient and make an efford. I believe that this experience will help me become more independent, confident, and responsible.
I am very excited about making new friends at school. I like talking to people, sharing experiences, and learning about their lives. I think that have a good friends makes life happier, and I always try to be a loyal and supportive friend.
Finally, I want my host family to know that I am respectful, responsible, and caring. I will follow the house rules, help with daily tasks, and try to all be happy in your home. I am excited to learn from you and to share my life and culture with you. I hope we can enjoy this experience together, create wonderful memories, and build a lasting friendship.
