Hellooo Family!

My name is Júlia and I’m 14 years old, well when I arrive in the US I will be 15. I live in a little village in Spain. I’m an only child, but I would like to have a brother or sister but I have a cat. I like my village because it’s in the middle, you can go to the mountain or to the beach in 2 hours maximum. At home I help with the housework and sometimes I prepare lunch or I make some desserts because I like to cook .

In my village there wasn't a high school so I have to go by bus but it isn't a problem :)

My favourite subject at school is maths. In the future I will study a career but I’m not sure which: business or teacher. What I really know is that I will travel and discover the world.

I play the piano and I do contemporary dance. My favourite sport is skiing, I enjoyed it a lot but obviously I can’t ski all year . I like to roller skate, ride my bicycle and walk in the mountains. At school I play volleyball with my friends too. I love spending time with my friends. We usually go to the cinema or go to a bakery, eat a croissant and spend the time speaking. I think that the best moments are the simplest.

All Wednesday I go to eat at my grandmother's house. I spent 3 hours with her and I love her. She is very wise and always gives me life advice. All Fridays I go to eat at my other grandmother’s house with my cousin. We share great moments together. We celebrate all birthdays and celebrations all together as a family and it’s so great. Once a month, my dad and I go to the retirement home to visit my great-grandmother.

I’m organized, open minded, funny, responsible, brave and sensible. I’m a little shy , well just when I don’t know people, but it quickly disappears. I’m resolute and I have a lot of objectives in my life, dreams too. One of my dreams is to be a fashion model. I’m so intense, I like to enjoy life.

I would like to be an exchange student to meet new people, discover a new culture and also to improve my English. I want to go out of my comfort zone and do personal grow up. I know that it will be a super experience for me in all aspects. I will fulfill a dream. In the USA I would like to prove crumble cookies, in-n-out hamburgers, and more! I am so excited to celebrate Christmas and Halloween in the US !

I’m so grateful to have this great opportunity. I wish I could create a beautiful relationship between my host family and me. I will help with the housework, learn about your culture and traditions, join a lot of family activities and respect their routines. Also I can help with kids if needed because I love kids.

I can’t wait to meet you and share some amazing moments together.
