Hi!

My name is Marta. I am 15 years old and I am from Spain.

My family is composed by my parents, my brothers (both older than me) and myself. We all live in a small village in the center of Spain.

We all have a very good relationship and have fun time together. We like joking, wach movies, play cards together.  

I also have a very big family with my grandparents, uncle, aunts and cousins of the same age of me who also live close to me in the same village. We are lucky to spend time together.

Almost all my hobbies and social live is based on my school where I attend since I was a child and me and my friends practice sports  after school or play games on weekends. My favourite sport is volleyball, I have been practising it for 5 years and I enjoy it a lot. I also love tennis and ski.

We also love travelling, I have been with my family visiting París, Rome, and Greek Island.   I have also travelled all over my own country, Spain has many interesting places to be visited. But my favourite trips have been the annual sky trip organized by the school. I have great memories skiing with my friends!!

More hobbies : I like listening music, all type of music in general, I also love animals. Even though We have not pets at home right now, we have had three animals, one dog, one fish and one guinea pig.

How Am I? I am an open mind, and sociable person. I like to be with family and friends and meeting new people. One of the most important things I love to do is practice sports. This is one of the reasons I want to go to the United States, because sport on almost all schools is incredible.

I think I am a hard worker and organized person, while I am doing schoolwork’s I try to do my best to have a good marks. I am a relaxed girl and not panicking at all even if there are problems I try to calm down and think in possibilities and not in problems. I can be very honest and straight to the point. I try to be positive all the time. I want to be happy and make other people happy too. I try to do my best every day to improve my self.

You are probably wondering why I thought about this exchange student program, well my brother went to the United States last year and he had an enjoyable experience, so I also wanted to spend a year. I was very interested in that program, so I asked around to know more about this kind of program. I also love to discover new persons, new personality, new culture etc... I would like to learn how to cook some recipes of United States, I could show you some of the culture of Spain like the Spanish omelette or croquets etc.

I also love the English language. So, I would love to go into an English country to improve myself and to know how is to live there and have a great experience. I chose the United States because it is a country which attracts me because it has some beautiful landscapes and the people who live there are very nice.
