Hello!
I am Adrián, a 14 years old boy from Spain. By the time I get to the USA I will be 15. I live in a flat in a big city with my dad, my mom and my 2 little brothers, who are 10 and 9 years old. I speak Spanish, English, and a little bit of German and French, which I have studied in school.

One of my favorite things in the world are sports, both playing them or watching them. My favorite one is soccer, which I practice in a team in my city. I also love other sports like tennis, basketball, karting, or ski, which I do once a year in a school trip. I’m open to learn new sports and games like baseball or American Football.
I also love cinema. My favorite type of movies are action movies, but I like most genres, except romantic movies, which I find boring. My favorite movie is probably the Lord of the Rings.

I usually hang out with my friends around my neighborhood. On Fridays or on the weekends we go together for dinner at restaurants, watch or play different sports like soccer or paddle-tennis. We also take the subway some times and go to the cinema or to an arcade and bowling place. I don’t spend all of my time with friends, I also appreciate to be with my family. I think family is very important and we do a lot of things together, like going to museums, going for a walk or playing board games like Catan or Monopoly.

I want to be an engineer in the future and design and construct cars, roller coasters or planes and boats. I also want to build my own business and be a successful man with one of the most powerful companies in the world.

About my experience in the USA I think it will be great. I believe I will learn a lot of things about your country, your culture, and I also expect to improve my English. I think this experience will be a challenge for me being one year away from my parents and friends, but it will help me being more independent, and learn to do more things by myself.

At school I consider myself as a great student. I get very good grades and I’m happy to help my friends at class who come ask me for help on different subjects, so I can solve their doubts. It happens usually in Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Technology, which are also my favorite subjects at the institute. I love science but I also enjoy other subjects like History.

About my character, I would say I am an easy going person. I am always trying to help people around me. I also like to learn new things, for this reason I read the news everyday and stay up to date about what’s going on. I can be very determined and disciplined if I have fixed myself an objective. I believe that I am very responsible and mature for my age, my parents remark this about me. I know and have very clear what I should do, or not in each occasion.

When I’m in the US, I’d also love to show you things about my country, cultureand even gastronomy, for which I’m learning how to cook some traditional Spanish meals.
