Hello! I’m Beatriz, but everyone calls me Bea. I’m fourteen years old and I’m in secondary school. Also I live in Spain.

I consider myself responsible, kind, funny, adaptable, friendly and talkative. I would really like to go as an exchange student, I think it is a great and positive experience. I want to learn many things about life, meet new people and also learn more about myself. I know that living in another country will help me grow and become more independent.

My family is a very close group. It is made up of my parents. My mother works in human resources, and my father has a printing business where he works. I also have two sisters. The oldest one is studying a food engineering degree, the middle one is studying law, and I am the youngest.

We also have a dog called Ray. He is five years old, and I love playing with him and spending time with him. I love spending time with my family also, because I have a great time with them, and we do activities like traveling, diving, walking, and watching movies and series. My mother’s family is very big, we are twenty-one in total, and my maternal grandmother is seventy-nine years old, and she is someone I admire very much. In contrast, my father's family is smaller, we are thirteen, and my paternal grandfather is ninety-three years old, and I love spending time with him playing cards. What I am most excited to share with my host family is my Spanish culture, and of course my daily help at home.

One of my favorite hobbies is skiing. I have been practicing it since I was very little, and every winter, when we can, we go to the mountains to ski as a family. It is an activity that I enjoy a lot. Another hobby I have is rhythmic gymnastics. I practiced this sport some years ago, and I would love to do it again. I also do activities at the beach, like diving, paddle surfing, and kayaking.

In the future, my biggest aspiration is to study a career related to nursing, like becoming a midwife, because I am very motivated to study a career where I can help people and take care of their health. I also wish to have a healthy and happy family, and to live close to my parents and sisters so I can enjoy good moments with them.

During my year as an exchange student, my goals are to improve my English, make new friends with whom I can have fun and laugh a lot, learn about American culture, and finally, I would love to have a very good and trusting relationship with my host family.

My true passion is volleyball. I have been playing this sport for the last three years. I love this sport because I really enjoy the time I spend training with my teammates and my coach. I also think that volleyball teaches you how to work well as a team.

Despite all of this I would adapt to any circumstances and to any new sports and hobbies.

Thank you for reading my letter. I am very excited about the possibility of having this experience and I hope to be able to share my culture with you.

Can't wait to meet you!
