Hello,

My name is Jan, and I am 14 years old. I live in Spain, and I am very excited about the possibility of staying with a host family in the USA. I would love to share this experience with you and learn about your daily life and culture.

I consider myself an academic, responsible, and hardworking student. I really enjoy learning new things, and I always try to do my best at school. I also like watching and playing sports. People usually describe me as friendly, generous, and calm, and I always try to be respectful and helpful at home and at school.

My family is very friendly and kind, and we are used to spending time together. We are quite traditional, and we often have special lunches or dinners with relatives. Christmas is very important to us, and we love celebrating it with family and friends. I have a sister, and we get along very well. She also plays basketball and likes animals. At home we have a dog, and I really enjoy taking care of him, going for walks, and playing with him. I had a dog before who was very old, so I learned how important it is to be patient and caring with pets.

In my free time, I really enjoy playing basketball. I started playing when I was little and I often go to summer training camps. I also like cycling because I can spend time with my friends while being active. I love traveling and discovering new places. I have visited several European countries, and last autumn I had an exchange with a German student. I stayed with his family for a week, and it was a great experience that helped me learn how to adapt to a new home and new routines.

I am very interested in learning about new cultures and improving my English. I am open to new experiences and I like learning new things every day. One of my main goals for going to the USA is to improve my English, get good grades, make new friends, and learn more about American culture and daily life.

I am respectful, clean, and organized, and I always try to help at home when I can. I enjoy spending time with my family, talking, sharing meals, and doing activities together. I would love to be part of your family, share experiences with you, and learn from you.

One thing I really enjoy is traditional Spanish food. I think it would be fun to cook some Spanish dishes for you and share typical traditions and customs from my country.
